Edino rešitev, da bi moštvo izvlekel iz težav, mu predstavlja študentski superzvezdnik in vojni heroj Carter Rutherford. A potem se pojavi zvedava novinarka Lexie Littleton, ki poroča o nogometnih klubih in podvomi o Carterjevih junaških zgodbah.
