Maturant Mark Richards se veseli konca šole in zasluženih počitnic. Nikoli ga ni motilo, da je njegova ovdovela mama Tanya zelo zaščitniška do njega, saj ve, da mu želi samo dobro. Toda ko ga očara manipulativna starejša ženska Carissa, se Mark znajde med dvema ognjema. Kmalu ugotovi, da je ena izmed njiju povsem zblaznela in se je nikakor ne bo mogel otresti.

High School senior Mark Richards has never minded his overprotective widowed mother, Tanya, and is a good son to her as he prepares to go off to Princeton in the fall. However, when he comes under the spell of the rapacious, manipulative older woman Carissa Kensington, he finds himself in the middle of two strong, unreasonable women - one of whom is insane.
