Načelnik Frank Drebin je eden najbolj zabavnih detektivov. Izslediti mora uspešnega poslovneža Vincenta Ludwiga, ki velja za izredno hudobnega človeka. Med iskanjem Frank naleti na zelo privlačno Vincentovo asistentko Jane Spencer in med njima se vname iskrica.
