Šestnajstletna razvajenka Cher Horowitz ima zelo bogatega očeta. Živi v palači na Beverly Hillsu, ima ogromno garderobo in si kar z računalnikom pomaga pri izbiri pravih oblek. V šoli se z učitelji pogaja za ocene in za učenje ji je malo mar. Skozi šolska leta se prebija z najboljšo prijateljico Dionne. Fanta nima, vendar se kmalu resno zaljubi. Ne sluti, da jo bo ljubezen popolnoma spremenila.
Cher, a high school student in Beverly Hills, must survive the ups and downs of adolescent life. Her external demeanor at first seems superficial, but rather it hides her wit, charm, and intelligence which help her to deal with relationships, friends, family, school, and the all-important teenage social life.
